Rakhi Outfit Ideas! |2020|

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are doing well.

India is a country of festivals and every year, it starts with Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan) which is falling on the 3rd of August. Talking about Rakhi, It is one such amazing Indian Festival dedicated to all sisters and brothers. Sister tie a amulet, called the rakhi, around the wrist of their brothers, symbolically protecting them and receive a gift/blessing in return. It represents the love between them, (for those of you who don’t know about it).

So It is just around the corner, have you guys picked out a rakhi outfit for yourself yet? Don’t worry, I’m here to share with you all some RAKHI OUTFIT IDEAS, (taking inspiration from Pinterest) and I hope this article is helpful to you guys.

What are we waiting for now? Let’s begin.

# Dhoti Look

So the first outfit I wanted to talk about is this dhoti pant look. These are very trending for quite some time. Style a dhoti pant with any kind of peplum top for the trendy look. Just add a pair of earrings, rings and juttis with it and you will be ready to rock on your Rakhi outfit.

# Go Indo-western

This outfit is eye-catching for the festive season. Here you just need to switch your top wear. Wear a crop top and throw a shrug over it instead of a peplum top. It looks super amazing and gives you that proper pure ethnic vibe. Keep your hair tied into a bun if you are wearing heavy earrings or else you can keep your hair open.

# Sharara Sharara

Another look is with sharara. If you don’t want to go for a complete traditional look and still want to look modern, then I think this is the perfect blend of Indo-western look for you guys. Wear a sharara with strappy kurti and just top up with bold color lipstick and a light base. Along with it, do not forget to wear a bracelet and your statement earrings.

# Choose Simple

If you are a person who doesn’t want to experiment much with their clothing. You can go for straight cut long kurta. It can be paired with palazzo pants for a comfortable yet stylish look. Here I will suggest two things. You can go for either the same color top to bottom suit with banarsi silk dupatta (to steal the show) or go for vibrant color kurti and match your dupatta with the palazzo pant. Add a pair of earrings and juttis with it, and you will look super amazing.

# Try Anarkali

Last but not the least, you can choose floor length anarkali dress. Looks very elegant if you pick designs like this shown in the image and if I would say any garment an epitome of grace after saree, that would be this anarkali suit. Don’t forget to add a pair of big chandbalis or jhumkas with a lipstick that complements your look.

  1. Beautiful outfits! When I was a little girl, my pediatrician was from India and I used to love the outfits she wore! She took such good care of me when I was sick and her bedside manner was amazing! I lost touch with her after I grew up and had children but I still think of her a lot.
